Thanks so much Emma for showing us how to calm and train (and bond even more with) our excitable cattle dog pup Honey. After the third destroyed remote and the frayed insect screens, we were getting desperate. Should have got you in sooner Emma – your sensible and practical advice has made an immediate and wonderful difference. Honey says thank you too. Amanda T 2021

Emma helped us work through Willow’s separation anxiety issues. Being our first dog, it was challenging for us to help Willow work through her anxiety, especially with conflicting information from vets, trainers and the internet. After sitting down with us to understand Willow’s behaviour, Emma was able to provide us some simple, yet extremely effective techniques that directly contributed to Willow's significant progress to date. She went from a dog that quite literally couldn’t be on the other side of an open doorway, to a dog that is able to comfortably relax and sleep in our absence for a few hours at a time. Luke V 2024

My vet put me in contact with Kate after we had been experiencing some behavioural issues with our 2 cats, who were previously fine together. We had a phone call as we lived a bit further away, and Kate took all of the information down and made some suggestions of changes to make and some training/ reintroduction homework. We got to work right away and noticed so many improvements in such a short space of time. Kate checked in to offer assistance throughout the process and was fantastic. We recently moved house and our cats are getting along again, which we worried would never happen before we got Kate's help! Thanks to Kate's advice we have 2 happy cats again! – Leanne C 2024

After the birth of our first child, our dog Archer became increasingly difficult to manage. An anxious boy, he always needed to be in the same room as us, would pace around the house all day, and would bark or whine incessantly if put outside. We engaged with a trainer with limited improvement, and after he snapped at the baby twice we were at our wit's end. We were concerned about the baby's safety around him, and were seriously considering the need to rehome him. A friend referred us to Emma.

It is not an exaggeration to say she changed our life, beginning with the first consultation. She made sensible recommendations regarding his health, offered simple and achievable behavioural/training options, and started him on medications which improved his anxiety to a significant degree. Archer finally adjusted to life with a new sibling, and slowly but surely has been able to spend more time interacting with her. We are so thankful to her, and I'm sure he is too!

Kate is knowledgable, patient and understanding. She helped us with our very frustrated cat with simple strategies (with contingencies!). She explained so much during our consultation, but in terms that were easy to understand and remember.

We now have a much happier cat, a calmer household. Kate has a very happy client. I highly recommend her services. Since our consultation, Kate has checked in to ensure that our little family has continued success with our simple strategies.  As before, I

highly recommend Kate's skills, services and care.

Emma has been absolutely wonderful with our two rescue dogs. She worked very hard with us to help our particularly reactive dog settle and have a positive life, using both behavioural strategies and medication. When it came time to say goodbye to him, Emma helped us organise a peaceful passing at home, where the whole family could be present, and our dog was comfortable and felt safe.

She continues to care for our older dog, managing his chronic pain from hip dysplasia and a history of cruelty by a previous owner. Home visiting has been such a great service, both for our anxious pups and us as we juggle their needs with those of our young son.

We can't thank Emma enough for the compassion and care she provides our family.

Dr Emma knows dogs!

Our two rescue dogs Banjo and Matilda (Tilly) just love Dr Emma because of her serene and calm approach.  She understands the philosophy behind canine behaviour and has worked with us since our dogs were puppies on strategies, tips and pointers to help us recognise and respond to our dogs in a safe and appropriate manner to enable their best learning.  We have seen significant behavioural improvements from both dogs in the time we have been seeing Dr Emma and have complete trust in her advice.  It is also obvious that Dr Emma cares greatly for animals and their welfare, and this special ‘bedside manner’ for us is key to a holistic approach to pet care.  We could not recommend Dr Emma enough.
